Wave 6 of the G.I Joe comic two packs have finally shown up at retail. QWE and ladyhump of the Hisstank boards found all three sets at their local Wal-marts.

Wave six of the comic two packs include Snake Eyes/Hard Master, Beachhead/Mainframe and Scrap Iron/ Wild Bill.

Shin-Gouki of the Hiss Tank boards found the second wave of 12″ G.I. Joe figures at the Toys R Us in Chandler, AZ. This wave includes Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow and Torpedo.

Despite the recent price increase for single packed figures, Target seems to be the place to find new G.I. Joe toys. Along with the vehicle and DVD sets, Target stores have been getting wave 5 of the comic two packs. SnowStorm and sgt.bludhound of the Hisstank boards found all three sets at their local Targets.

Wave five of the comic two packs include Iron Grenadier/Destro (with black helmet), Tripwire/Cobra Commander and Nemesis Enforcer/Falcon. Unlike Target’s rediculously priced single pack figures, the comic two packs are still only $9.99

While you’re out hunting for Clone Wars toys, you may want to swing by the G.I. Joe section as a number of new toys have begun to hit retail. badgumbo of the HissTank.com boards found the first two G.I. Joe DVD packs (The Revenge of Cobra and The M.A.S.S. Device) at a Target store in Cumming, GA. These were put out as part of Target’s upcoming reset and come two per case. Best of all, they’re priced at only $19.99.

If your local Target hasn’t put the DVD packs out yet, you can try to get them pulled from the back by using the DPCI 087-06-0904. Also, the DPCI for the new vehicle sets is 087-08-0441. As long as they’re going in back, you might as well have them grab those as well. Happy hunting!

The 12″ G.I. Joe figures are back and already hitting retail. Cataclizm1 of the HissTank.com boards found the first wave of the Military Assortment at a Walmart in Torrance, CA. The wave includes Flink, the Cobra Trooper, Bazooka and Dusty and is priced at $14.99. Here’s the picture proof.

With the price of gas at an all time high, its harder than ever to be a toy collector. Retailers are also feeling the pinch and, in the case of Target, they’re passing the extra costs onto their customers by raising prices. According to HissTank.com, Target has already raised the price of G.I. Joe figures from $6.84 to a whopping $7.99. 

Star Wars collectors will also be facing a price hike when the new Clone Wars and Legacy figures hit later this month. NickRyder of the Rebelscum forums was working at a new Target store that was already set for the Clone Wars launch. Like G.I. Joe, the price of the Clone Wars and Legacy figures were set at $7.99.

Lets hope that the Walmart effect pushes down Targets pricing. Otherwise, I have a feeling that many collectors will be scaling back their purchases or taking a break until the economy recovers.

Good news for G.I Joe collectors. Wave 9 of the 25th Anniversary collection has started to hit stores in the US. Jeffrozup of the HissTank.com boards spotted the new wave at a Walmart store in Ohio. Here is some picture proof, courtesy of Cobra-La.

Wave 9 includes General Hawk, Bazooka, Storm Shadow (as Ninja-ku), Snow Serpent, and the B.A.T.(Battle Android Trooper).
