While Target is known for their radical clearances, they usually wait a few months before slapping red tags on their exclusive items. Needless to say, I was a bit surprised to see that my local Target had marked down its new G.I Joe, Star Wars and Transformer toys after only a few weeks. These things weren’t exactly hot sellers, but with them marked down 30%, they’ll probably be gone by Christmas.

Target has begun to red tag its Indiana Jones toys. The basic 3 3/4″ figures have been marked down to $3.80 and the 12″ figures are now $10.48. Unfortunately, the deluxe figures and vehicles have not gotten the red tag treatment yet.

Target stores have also been clearing out their back rooms so if you’ve had a hard time finding the later waves of Indy figures, now is the time to go and look. There have been a number of reports of people picking up the Last Crusade wave for $3.80 a piece.

While I normally have to beg the people at my local Target to stock the pegs, one ambitious employee took it upon himself to put out their Clone Wars and Legacy Collection figures a little early. A local collector found the employee stocking 6-7 cases worth of figures this afternoon. By the time I got there most of the Clone Wars figures, including all of the ones with the  “Day 1″ sticker, were gone. However, there were still plenty of wave 2 Legacy figures, which were, oddly enough, on clearance for a mere $4.64.

Take note of the new shelf tag which clearly indicates the new $7.99 which we reported on last week. At $4.64 though, these figures are one heck of deal.

On my hunt for Clone Wars toys, I hit a couple of Shopko stores in my area. While a number of collectors have found new Star Wars toys at various Shopko stores, the ones I stopped at appeared to be sticking to the street date. Thanfully, it wasn’t a wasted trip. In an effort to make room for Transformers Animated and Universe toys, Shopko is blowing out its stock of Transformers movie toys. Selection varied by store, but I was able to score a few good deals. Here’s some picture proof and a list of clearance prices.

With the launch of Clone Wars only a few weeks away, stores have begun to clear out their stock of “old” Star Wars toys. Niktom of the Yakface forums found the Wal-mart exclusive Droid Factory two packs on clearance at his local Super Center for a mere $5.

I need to point out that Wal-mart’s clearances are usually done on a per-store basis. Most likely, you won’t find the Droid Factory sets at this price at your local Wal-mart. I’d check my local Wal-marts but they didn’t get the Droid Factory sets at all. Sigh…

Thanks to Seibertron.com, we’ve learned that Target has begun to red tag many of the Transformers movie toys along with the Star Wars toys we reported on earlier. The Fast Action Battlers and Target exclusive Allspark Deluxes have been marked down to $6.98 and there was even one report of the Deluxes hitting $4.98.

The larget Transformer movie toys are also going on clearance. There have been reports of people finding the Voyagers for $13.99 and the Leader class figures for $27.98.

Unfortunately, I haven’t found anything other than a huge stack of Cars toys on clearance at my local Targets. As usual, let us know whats showing up in your area.

We’ve gotten some confirmed reports that Targets in Milwaukee have put the Order 66 two packs on clearance for $4.98. A few lucky collectors have also found the Battle Rancor marked down to a mere $19.99. Needless to say, its a good time to go on a hunt if you’re looking to pick up some Star Wars toys on the cheap.

Target stores have already begun clearancing out their Star Wars 30th Anniversary Collection (TAC) toys in preparation for the launch of Clone Wars on July 26th. According to a various reports, basic figures have been found for $4.64 at several locations. As we get closer to the Clone Wars launch, other TAC toys will probably go on clearance as well. Hopefully, this also means that my local Target will finally be getting rid of the TSC figures that have been hanging on the pegs since 2006.
