While Target is known for their radical clearances, they usually wait a few months before slapping red tags on their exclusive items. Needless to say, I was a bit surprised to see that my local Target had marked down its new G.I Joe, Star Wars and Transformer toys after only a few weeks. These things weren’t exactly hot sellers, but with them marked down 30%, they’ll probably be gone by Christmas.

If you missed some of the Black Friday sales, you’re in luck. According to this week’s ad, Walmart has rolled back the price of Star Wars and G.I. Joe action figures to $6. Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Fast Action Battlers and deluxe toys have also been marked down to $8. The sale runs until December 12th.
While Black Friday is still more than a week away, there have been numerous reports of people finding the new Target exclusive G.I Joe, Star Wars and Transformer toys at their local store. While doing my rounds this morning, I found an entire end cap full of them. Along with the Wedge Antilles X-wing fighter, they had two new Star Wars Clone Wars battle packs, the new TIE fighter with updated cockpit and the G.I. Joe Past and Present Rockslide ATAV. If your local Target hasn’t put these toys out, you can use the links below to check and see if they have them in stock. Using the DPCI number, you can then have them pulled from the back room.

If you missed the Star Wars The Clone Wars AT-TE the first time around, Toys R Us is giving you another chance to pick up this badass toy. Better yet, as part of their “Christmas in July” promotion, they will have the AT-TE on sale for a mere $49.99. The sale begins on July 19th and you’ll probably want to be there when the doors open if you want to score one of these. Otherwise, if you’d rather sleep in and pay to have it shipped to your home, the AT-TE is already on sale online for $49.99.
The new Star Wars battle packs have begun to hit stores across the U.S. While doing my rounds, I came across the Clone Wars Jabba’s Palace pack at the Super Target in Fitchburg, WI. The Scramble on Yavin set was no where to be found. However, there have been numerous reports of it showing up in stores.
The new Star Wars Delta Starfighter has begun to show up at Target stores across the U.S. This new version of Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Jedi Starfighter is based on the one from The Clone Wars. While we have yet to see it do this in the cartoon, the fighter splits into two separate vehicles. This gimmick probaby isn’t for everyone, but the empty droid socket is something that most will appreciate.
Over the weekend, I came across a case of the second wave of Clone Wars packaged Star Wars Transformers at my local Target. The wave includes repaints of Emperor Palpatine/Imperial Shuttle and Imperial Trooper/AT-AT as well as a remold of the Republic Gunship. Along with a new clone pilot head, the gunship’s doors are now fully covered. It also has nose art featuring a Kowakian monkey lizard dropping a bomb.
Target has finally seen the light and has lowered the price of its Clone Wars and Legacy figures to $6.99. At this point, its unknown whether or not this price cut is permanent or temporary.
Sorry G.I. Joe and Indy collectors.. the price of your figures is still $7.99.
On a recent trip with my family, I came across the first wave of Clone Wars packaged Star Wars Transformers toys at the Super Target in Eau Claire, WI. This initial wave seems to be repacks of older toys (Slave I, Republic Gunship, Turbo Tank and EP3 Obi-Wan Starfighter) and does not include any of the new toys, like the TIE Bomber, which are found in later case revisions.
